February 07th, 2007 [New York] Big
Apple Flavors This CSI
"CSI: NY's" Gary Sinise likes to note that skylines aren't the only difference between his show and its CBS siblings.
Take the overcoats, for instance. Such outerwear is not often seen on either of the other two crime-scene investigation shows, "CSI," set in Las Vegas, and "CSI: Miami," where it's downright steamy.
"Obviously, we have a change of seasons so the look of our show changes from season to season," says Sinise, wearing, yes, an overcoat between scenes on a mild Southern California day.
He plays Mac Taylor, who is the head of New York City's crime lab and has a penchant for quantum physics. On this day, Mac has just finished examining incriminating data on a college dorm computer in connection with a homicide

February 07th, 2007 [New York] Furtado Makes
Acting Debut
Nelly Furtado is not "promiscuous" in her role tonight on CSI: New York. Nor does she fly "like a bird."
But the popular Canadian songstress nonetheless leaves a stunning visual impression in her role as a high-end professional shoplifter.
Acting-wise, the 28-year-old Furtado still has some work to do. But the camera absolutely, positively loves her.
It's a big night for CTV, with Furtado's appearance on CSI: New York (10 p.m. EST, also on CBS), preceded by American Idol (9 p.m., also on Fox), which is preceded by the return of the enigmatic but compelling Lost (8 p.m.), which itself is preceded by a new Lost catchup show titled Lost Survival Guide (7 p.m.). The two Lost shows will air at 9 p.m. and 10

Stars David Caruso and Adam Rodriguez were able to attend the Super Bowl, which was held in Miami, where Caruso lives and much of the show is actually filmed. The Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen talked to the actors at Dolphins stadium about their dramatic upcoming two-part episode.
In the episode, the two investigators are in danger when Caruso's character, Horatio's old enemy, Clavo Cruz, returns. An explosion occurs sending a truck full of confiscated weapons onto its side. Weapons spill out all over the street and are scooped up by the public, Horatio links the crime to Cruz, who he put away for murder years
